In the year of 2017, I started to cooperate with the project manager of the department Staff Office Computing & Information Services at the Hanze University in Groningen (The Netherlands).
Their ideas has resulted in diverse innovations for students and teachers.
As a freelance illustrator, I draw illustrations to support digitalization in education. This contribution hopefully helps others to understand the facets of digital learning and motivates to see the perks of it. The goal is to make students and teachers actively aware of their educational possibilities with these tools in a world full of machines.

THE FLEXIBILITY PROJECT 2021 – 2022
In the winter of 2021, I was asked by Hanze University if I wanted to participate as an illustrator for something called ‘The Flexibility Project’: a project dedicated to finding a suitable learning route for students.
Providing a suitable learning path means that the school wants to offer students more choices in the content, form, pace, time, and place of education.
In short, flexible education is what Hanze University wants to achieve thanks to creating curricula, which consist partly of compulsory education units and partly of elective education. So I was commissioned to make ten different (digital) drawings to visualize a promotional video.
The editing of the video will start at the end of 2022.

A NEW DIGITAL ASSESSMENT SYSTEM 2022
The department Staff Office Computing & Information Services asked me to make a short animation video for a festive unveiling.
On the 25th of January 2022, a new contract for a digital assessment system for Hanze University was signed by Petra Smeets, a member of The Executive Board. With this signature, the implementation process of this new testing system formally starts.
Curious about the result and the new supplier?
